Having tried many instructors over the last 20 years and failed a few tests, I was beginning to wonder if I would ever drive, if I wasn't cut out for it, if every driving instructor was useless or the DVLA had it in for me! After a 15 year break, I summoned the courage to try again, as the clock was ticking forwards to a date with the maternity department at Wythenshawe Hospital. This time I would have to drive as they'd shut the local one. Anyway, I passed first time - and in plenty of time. The drive to the hospital was thankfully uneventful and a proud dad was able to drive baby and mum home. I had always found driving to be difficult, stressful and not in the least bit enjoyable. Since passing however, I've kind of got addicted to driving, as you said I would. I wanted to say thanks for teaching me well.

Bill was always punctual and able to accommodate me around school hours. We moved onto manoeuvres quickly to improve clutch control and confidence in my driving. Bill always explained everything clearly and calmly. I have just passed on my first attempt under Bill's guidance (he was recommended to me by someone else who had passed first time).
